Lee County School Employee Indicted for Embezzlement

JACKSON- Following an arrest on April 17 by the State Auditor’s Office, Randy Thweatt has been indicted on 2 counts of embezzlement. Special Agents with the State Auditor’s Office arrested Thweatt following the execution of a search warrant where a 2006 Ford Ranger and York air conditioning unit belonging to Lee County School District were seized.

Former Leake County Chamber Director Sentenced To Serve 5 Years for Embezzlement

JACKSON- State Auditor Stacey Pickering announced today Renodda Dorman, former Leake County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, was sentenced to 10 years, 5 years to serve and 5 years of probation after pleading guilty to embezzlement. Dorman was also ordered to make $60,916.11 in restitution back to Leake County.
