JACKSON, Miss. – In light of the 2017 Children’s Internet Protection Act Compliance Review report released earlier this year, Mississippi State Auditor Stacey Pickering is releasing his office’s recommendations for Cybersecurity Best Practices.

“The mission of the Office of the State Auditor and this project is to ensure that all students in the State of Mississippi are protected from harmful materials when using technology issued by the school districts,” said Pickering.

The project is ongoing and the OSA will continue to monitor the school districts compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act and other federal regulations regarding cybersecurity already in place.
