State Auditor Arrests and Issues Demand Against Former New Albany Municipal Court Clerk

JACKSON, Miss. – Special Agents from the State Auditor’s Office arrested former New Albany Municipal Court Clerk, Jennifer Galloway, after she was indicted on one count of embezzlement by a Union County Grand Jury. In addition to today’s arrest, Galloway was issued a demand in the amount of $334,680.64.

While Galloway will be entitled to her day in court, OSA Agents provided evidence to prosecutors that she did not deposit a total of $206,648.80 in cash bonds and court fines received.

Galloway was employed as the Court Clerk of the City of New Albany Municipal Court during the time period of April 2009 through October 2013.
