JACKSON- State Auditor Stacey Pickering honored Jessica Bratt Younger with a proclamation today recognizing her achievement as the Mississippi Association of Governmental Purchasing and Property Agent’s Property Officer of the Year during MDOT’s monthly Commission Meeting.

Younger, fixed asset specialist for the Mississippi Department of Transportation has received three national certifications through the National Property Management Association and has served as treasurer of the Magnolia Chapter of the National Property Management Association.

“Jessica does excellent work on behalf of the taxpayers of Mississippi, and we are fortunate in the State Auditor’s Office to have hard-working, talented people managing property on behalf of the State of Mississippi,” said State Auditor Stacey Pickering. “She is very deserving of this award and it is my pleasure to present her with this proclamation.”

Younger is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women with a double major in Journalism and English. She is married to John Younger, and the couple resides in Jackson.
