Q May a mayor of a code charter municipality require a majority vote of the board of aldermen before an item is removed from the meeting agenda?

A Both the mayor and the board of aldermen have the authority to place items on the agenda. However, the mayor does not have the sole right to remove items from the agenda or establish the order of the agenda. A majority vote of the governing authority is required to remove an item from the agenda, once the agenda has been set in accordance with the procedures adopted by the governing authority concerning placement of items on the agenda.
