Q May county boards of supervisors and chancery clerks share employees? If so, how should the employee’s compensation be divided between the board and clerk?

A Boards of supervisors and chancery clerks may share in the cost of employees, provided the employees in question perform work for both entities. The Department of Audit recommends determining what percentage of an employee’s duties is for each employer, and allocating his compensation accordingly.
