Q Are there any limitations on board members in a code charter municipality with regard to meeting with city employees during the workday to gather information they believe is needed to perform their statutory duties as aldermen?

A Aldermen are entitled, without charge, to reasonable access to information required to perform the duties of the office and may request that such information is provided to them in a reasonable and timely manner. There are no restrictions to the access of information provided, other than that such request should be tied to the statutory duties of the board of aldermen.
