You are cordially invited to attend the 4th annual Cybersecurity Summit sponsored by the Office of the State Auditor, the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security (MS Analysis & Information Center), and the Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services, scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2017, at the Mississippi Fire Academy.

Government and private entities alike rely on technology to support their mission and business functions. Effective utilization of technology enables organizations to reduce expenses, increase productivity, and improve service offerings. Organizations must understand the risks that technology brings and ensure the implementation of appropriate security controls to reduce the risk to an acceptable level. In recognition of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, we are hosting this summit with the goal of raising awareness about cybersecurity.

The Summit will be October 12, 2017, 9:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m., for state agencies, city and county governments, and educational institutions (lunch will be provided). Attendance is limited to 200, and registration is required. Registration must include name, e-mail address, and entity name, and should be sent to Information.Security@its.ms.gov by September 22, 2017. There is no charge for this event.
