Q Does the sheriff have the right to suspend bonding companies for violations of rules and regulations set forth by the jail?

A The sheriff may place reasonable restrictions on all visitors to the jail, including bondsmen. A sheriff may not prohibit a bondsman from writing bonds for an inmate in the county jail, but may refuse to approve a bond from a particular bondsman for good cause.
