    Default Is it a violation for a full-time deputy sheriff to serve simultaneously as mayor?

    Q Is it a separation of powers violation for a full-time deputy sheriff to serve as a mayor?

    A An individual may serve simultaneously as mayor and deputy sheriff without violating the separation of powers doctrine. (Attorney General’s Opinion to Ringer dated June 26, 2009)
