Q The county currently has a bond issue in place secured by a pledge of the full faith and credit of the third and fourth supervisorsí districts. It is now necessary to redistrict, so who will pay the levy after redistricting, those who were prior residents that were moved to other districts, or those who will have been placed into the third and fourth districts as a result of redistricting?

A This was addressed by the Opinion to Logan (October 12, 1993). The Logan Opinion, in summary, states that taxes must continue to be levied on all property within the old district lines until the bond obligation has been completely satisfied. This determination is applicable to the case at hand. (Attorney Generalís Opinion to Creekmore, April 12, 2013)
