April 18, 2016

Jackson, Miss – Agents from the State Auditor’s office arrested former part-time police officer for the City of Macon and full-time security chief for the Noxubee County School District, Randy Dixon, after a Noxubee County Grand Jury indicted him for embezzlement.

Dixon was Chief of Security for the Noxubee County School District from 1993-2011, and worked for the City of Macon Police Department from 2006-2011. The investigation shows from February 2007 through February 2011, while Dixon was on duty as a Patrolman for the City of Macon, he was also being paid to provide security services for the Noxubee County School District.

Prior to his arrest, an informal demand was issued by the State Auditor to Dixon on March 8, 2016, in the amount of $4,053.72. “He has paid that amount in full,” said State Auditor Stacey Pickering. “I look forward to returning that money back to the Noxubee County Schools.”
