Settlement Announced In Robert Graham Litigation

JACKSON- State Auditor Stacey Pickering announced today that an out-of-court settlement has been agreed to with Hinds County Supervisor Robert Graham involving litigation concerning Graham’s conducting training while employed by the Jackson Police Department.

As part of the settlement, Graham will transfer 91 days of his accumulated unused uncompensated personal and major medical leave to the City of Jackson from his Public Employees Retirement System account. Upon retirement Graham had 456 days of accumulated unused and uncompensated personal and major medical leave.

Additionally, Graham will pay the City of Jackson $1,898.54 in principal and interest.

This litigation is settled without an admission of liability or guilt by Graham.

The conditions of the settlement prevent either party from making further comments at this time.
